This is a continuation of my blog posts documenting the work I’m doing to build out the Shinecast® brand and business.

Wrote the blog post documenting my Shinecast work for the week of June 28 – July 4, 2015 and published that here on Teach Social Business.
Then I wrote the Sunday, July 5 status report and saved as a draft for future updates (which I eventually finished on Sunday, July 19).
ID3 tagged episode 4 of Ignite Alabama (Motion Mobs) and uploaded to SoundCloud.
Uploaded the original files for episode 5 (Ark Labs) to Dropbox and posted editing job on Elance. Canceled job for transcript review/quality control since the Birmingham person I’d invited had never responded, even with an extension.
Ingested photos from past week using Photo Mechanic.
Went to church (at the last minute, 5 minutes late).
Recorded intro and outro for episode 5 of Ignite Alabama and uploaded to Dropbox.
Began reviewing interview file from Julie Williams interview, which we recorded in one take. Since I didn’t notice anything amiss, I stopped reviewing and decided to just send to the editor.
Awarded job to create episode graphics for episode 15 of Birmingham Shines to someone in Eastern Europe, even though their proposal was out of my budget. I can’t keep spending my time on all the minor details. I decided I could do it as a one-time job and then figure out a plan C. Uploaded the graphic elements and photos the guy would need to create the graphics.

Spent too much time looking for the photo of Vulcan in my Google pics and then it turned out to be in my DSLR photo library. I hadn’t uploaded that to Elance workroom yesterday for episode 15. Cropped in Photoshop and then uploaded to workroom, along with quote from Carla Jean.
Piddled with the Aycock Gin. Co. bale tag photo, trying to create a logo graphic for Shine Springs Farm.
Sent a tweet re: innovative and text to Robbie Hillis to get his logo.
Resized Robbie’s photos and started working in Canva. Had to recreate the Ark Lab logo in Illustrator (he sent to me as .eps and that required buying a font that I didn’t have). Uploaded the recreated logo to Canva as a transparency and then created ID3 album art graphic.
Uploaded episode 4 of Ignite Alabama to Libsyn and created basic blog post.
Reviewed edited version of episode 5 of Ignite Alabama. While listening to the edited version, I created a simple blog post for Ignite Alabama and published that episode on the website. Shared to Tech Birmingham group and Shinecast Facebook page.
Downloaded a .wav file of something.
Reviewed edited episode 5 of Ignite Alabama, ID3 tagged, uploaded to Libsyn, wrote some basic show notes, and scheduled to publish at 1 a.m. Tuesday. Didn’t get the blog post published since I didn’t have a feature graphic, but the episode technically went live, as scheduled in my calendar, at 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Had to drive to Shoals for a colonoscopy consult (routine screening) so I left Birmingham at 12:30 p.m. That wiped out 6 hours of the day. Other than listening to podcasts en route and re-reading 9 Things Successful People Do Differently while waiting to see the doctor, I got nothing done.

Spent the bulk of the day at the farm, attending to honeybees. Left around 2 p.m. to return to Birmingham.
Shared episode 5 on Shinecast Facebook page.

Checked Elance and gave feedback on the first drafts of graphics created by the Elancer I’d hired to create the graphics.
Met an Ignite Alabama guest at 8 a.m. for coffee for an hour. That seemed to go well.
Fell into a wave of despondency after talking to mom around 9:30 a.m.
Focused on cleaning house before an afternoon interview at my house with guest for Birmingham Shines.
Sent podcast editor a request for re-processing of episode 14 of Birmingham Shines, due to weird crackling noise in my audio. He was quick to update and I had time to spot check the audio and it sounded fine.
The interview with Birmingham Shines guest went well.
After the interview, I created a SoundCloud and blog post graphic for episode 5 of Ignite Alabama and uploaded the audio file to SoundCloud. Then updated the cover art. The episode had already published on iTunes on Tuesday, as scheduled, but I hadn’t published the blog post or shared the episode.
Shared the Samford Summer Skies episode of Birmingham Shines to my personal Facebook page.
I also shared something on LinkedIn, but I forget what.
Main activity between 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. was creating graphics for Julie Williams episode of Birmingham Shines, ID3 tagging and uploading to Libsyn. I haven’t yet created a Facebook or Instagram graphic for Julie’s episode.

Spent the first part of the morning, updating software, rebooting computer, repairing permissions.
At 9 a.m. I finally got to start working and began by creating an Instagram graphic for episode 8 to share again because of the Alabama Summer Skies program tonight. Downloaded from Canva and then uploaded to Google Pics.
Saved and uploaded Julie’s pics to website while sharing Instagram graphic for episode 8.
At 10:30 a.m., I left my house and drove to Samford to finish cleaning out my office. Took longer than expected.

Woke up thinking about the pros and cons of Adventure theme which I’m currently using on Shinecast.net site vs. the Altitude theme by StudioPress (a parallax style theme).
Started workday by typing up some of my notes from the Authority Rainmaker conference in May into Everynote.
Published blog post for The Ark Labs episode of Ignite Alabama and shared on the Shinecast Facebook page. Checked Facebook regarding Julie Williams episode.
Created Twitter graphic for Ignite AL episode 5 using Canva. Shared Episode 5 on LinkedIn as my update in Tech Alabama group. Also shared on Twitter and Google+.
In the early afternoon, I drove over to Urban Standard (while running errands) to take photos of David Sher for episode 16 of Birmingham Shines. I’d forgotten to get his pic when we met for the interview.
Ran into Erin Street at Urban and we talked about a prospective guest for the show, among other things.

From my journal:
I think I might subconsciously engage in self-sabotage, or maybe I’m just insufficiently committed to achieving God’s purpose, letting God work through me.
At this particular moment, I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to be doing. It’s as if my vision is falling apart. I care so much about food and health and nature, the outdoors and yet I’m trapped in my own blindness and inability to take the correct actions.
Before my morning errands, I discovered the editor didn’t have intro/outro files for ep 6 of Ignite Alabama so had to upload those again.
